The HDMI® and VGA + Stereo Audio to HDMI HDBaseT over Cat Extender Kit is a complete solution for extending audio/video signals from a Blu-ray™ player and a laptop to the HDMI input of a projector. This kit extends HDMI, VGA and Stereo Audio signals over a single Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6a network patch cable up to 230 feet at a 1080p resolution. The rear cable connections for the Cat cable and the optional serial cable are set at 90°, making connections in a wall box easy. The local HDMI output of the front of the wall plate allows an additional HDMI display to be supported via an HDMI cable. Switching between HDMI and VGA inputs is made easy with three options available. Automatic switching displays the last connected device, manual switching via the button on the front of the wall plate, or Serial RS232 switching which accepts serial commands from a control device, like our

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ONE AMAZING PRODUCT I have been using C2G products for years and I had my ups and downs with some products - some didn't work like the should have and some worked perfectly like they supposed to. but his product surprised me - I am a very Savvy A/V Designer/installer/Configurator and most of the time I do take things above their limits even if the manufacturer didn't recommend it. and 99% of the time I succseed . my story: I installed two Plenum RapidRun Cables in the floor monument of my conference room and for the past two years they worked on and off they were very unreliable of course if I am always there I can make them work but if you are a co-worker and don't know much about AV they usually get stuck. then I decided to go for CAT5e/CAT6 Solutions - this product is KING and I would recommend it to any company's conference room in needs of a reliable AV solutions. in fact it is a standard product for me and my clients - you only need 1 CAT5e/CAT6 Cable but in tight places I run Two For redundancy reason or if the client needs anything else down the line. This Product combines Legacy VGA and Audio into HDMI on the fly at 1080P it has a built in smaller - I Used to purchase a $1000 Scaler just to do this. It has an additional HDMI local monitor port. If you saw what I am doing with this product incorporating Conferencing system and Cable TV into it, it will blow your mind.

Can the HDMI source (the device that plugs in to the HDMI in port) be hot swapped? That is can the device be changed without powering any of the equipment down?
