These units (C2G31011, C2G31012, C2G31013, C2G31015) have a field firmware update option and can be upgraded in the field via the Micro-USB port on the front panel of the wall plate transmitters and via the RS232 port on the rear of the receivers.
What is the most notable feature for this latest kit?
The two top USB-A ports on the receivers that include USB extension allow for camera streaming utilizing a higher amperage: 1.4A max on top 2 USB-A ports; 0.6A max on bottom 2 USB-A ports.
HDBaseT was created as a long-distance AV connectivity solution to extend the newest and legacy technology. With the effective range of a native HDMI connection limited to just a few dozen meters, there is a clear market demand for a single standard, simplified connection that can transport high-definition audio-video content at least 100 meters.
