Fixed all my problems
As I have been remodeling my home I have run cat 5e for telephone and ethernet, and coax for TV to almost every room. Each line runs to a phone/video/cat panel. This device told me that I had two pair of cat 5e wires crossed at the panel and that I was using a bad patch cord. The odd thing is that my Roku was able to connect to the internet after I rebooted it, pulled the cables and reinserted them, and refreshed my modem many times. How it worked at all is a mystery. Now I was able to identify the problems and I know that all my ethernet patch cords and my component to component RG coax cables are good. All works really well on the first attempt to connect.

Good Tester For the Price, It Helped Me.
Helped me out a great deal, with one end of cable in the attic and another in the bedroom.
