Our part number 52038 would be a null modem cable which will crossover some pins inside the serial cable.

Referring to the length of these cables, where are the overall dimensions measure from? For example, for a one foot cable, is the one foot measured from the mating surface of the connector to the mating surface of the second connector -OR- is it measured from the back of the strain relief to the back of the second strain relief?

The measurement is from edge of molding to edge of molding, before the DB9 connector.
