Very handy converter
We have several monitors that do not have display port capabilities (VGA and DVI-D only) and are currently upgrading laptops/docking stations for our internal staff. The new docks only have two display ports and one VGA port. So to save on both buying new monitors and all the work of running cables, these converters are life savers. Good build and design.

I'd like some clarification on a few things: The product title says that it connects to a single link DVI-D cable, but based on the connector guide on your website (http://www.cablestogo.com/learning/connector-guides/digital-video) it seems to match the picture for DVI-D dual link. Can you comment on this? Is the title a potential typo? One of the answered questions here says: "Is this bi-directional?" "This item will only work from a PC's Displayport output to a VGA display." This is confusing. Would this cable be used to first connect to a DVI-D single link cable and then from there to VGA?
This device s only pinned for a DVI-D Single-Link. The device will not work with a VGA connection.
