This extension cable actively buffers the incoming and outgoing signals to ensure compliance with the USB 2.0 specification for electrical and timing minimums. Designed for use with most USB 2.0 or 1.1 devices like some webcams, interactive whiteboards, and printers. You can connect up to 3 active extension cables end-to-end to achieve up to 118 feet (36 meter) total extension! Both low and high speed USB devices will function equally well with this extension cable. The active chip is built into the middle of the cable so you can add up to 3 meters of additional USB cable on each end enabling this cable to be used behind a USB wall plate. This cable will also function when plugged directly into your PC.

Good but may not work with some devices
This cable does its job many times but fails with certain devices that work with other shorter extension cables like a 5m extension cable found at:

i am having an error that windows does not recognize the device. is there a driver that i need to install?
There is not a driver for this cable it uses a internal Windows Driver. Please test the cable by disconnecting and reconnecting to a different port, then connect a mouse or keyboard.

I am looking for a USB extension that can be used to extend the length of a USB 3 cable 25-40 ft.
We currently do not carry an option to extend USB 3.0 at a distance of 25ft or above.

I see that this cable has an inline power booster. Where is this booster placed from the ends? Trying to understand if I can pull the cable through conduit of if I would need to install from the ceiling and pull ends through the conduit.
The Extender Chip is located in the middle of the cable about 19ft.

Will this extension cable work with a Microsoft Life Cam?
As long as the item falls under USB 2.0 Spec this cable will function with that item.
